Dear Colleagues & members,

Greetings from the College of General Dental Practitioners Singapore (CGDP). CGDP was formed in year 2000 to cater to the general dental practitioners in Singapore. Its mission is to “promote high ethical and quality care in general dental practice” by

1. Emphasizing on personal well-being and personal growth of the dentist.
2. Upgrading administrative and practice management skills.
3. Applying the highest clinical and operatory skills in practice.

The CGDP has been organizing CPE programs since our inception. The exco members have strived to improve on the programs by taking several approaches:

1. Development of a website. This is to facilitate dissemination of information to members. Regular information will be broadcast through this website.
2. Conduct more relevant CPE program eg. our upcoming Symposium in August 2009
3. Engage the new graduate through seminars.
4. Engage the GPs through seminars, lectures and social programs.

The current Exco is formed by senior dentists in our profession. However, we do hope that more volunteers from the general membership can come forward to serve and take charge of our profession in general and the CGDP in particular.

For your information, the following dentists are currently serving in the Executive Committee:

As compulsory CPE has commenced on 1st October 2007, the College will have much to do to prepare programs and seminars to benefit the general dentists. Therefore, we need feedback on the topics that you would be interested to participate.
